Silver gelatin process is a traditional photographic technique created in the late 1800s, resulting in chemical black and white photographs. After capturing an image on film, this negative image is enlarged on photographic paper (or other substrates) with a calculated light exposure. The print is then chemically developed and fixed, resulting in a stable black and white photograph which consists of silver metal particles suspended in a layer of gelatin.
